Well things are going well so far. I have been working at Cimarron Elementary School in East Palmdale. It is a bit different from things that I have done in the past, but enjoyable. I work in the office and the first person parents and visitors see when they enter the building. I keep track of where the children are and answer all questions. Most of the time I am calling into the class rooms asking for a child to come to the office as there parent is there to pick them up. I also update all important information on each child into the computer as needed. My desk is next to the nurse and with my background I am able to help out when a child is ill or hurt. I have kept up my CPR and safety training so I have a certification that allows me to care for the kids when the nurse is away. I am enjoying working in this new field and look forward to learning more each day.
