The Wedding

This day marks the beginning of an entirely new life for each of you
No longer the girlfriend, boyfriend or fiancée
You have graduated to husband and wife.
Your marriage will be a success if you follow a few simple rules
Over look each other’s faults with a forgiving mind
Be respectful of each other, sincere and kind.
Marriage is a combined venture.
A couple must work together like the paddles of a rowboat
If each one does their own thing, they will drift in a circle going nowhere
Tasks should be shared, there is no such thing as a girl or boy job, and each is just as able
A wedding band has been known to change some, don’t let it change your love for each other.
Make God a vital part of your daily walks
Look onto him as a friend, someone with whom you can have and talk to.
Many of the people here today, you may not see again.
But, the good Lord will always stay with you
So to the bride and groom, I wish you both the best
As the years ahead will be a test
Just remember when the years pass
Its what you both put into your marriage that will stand the test of time.
